Considering that we are probably a good 3 or 4 months away from Chapter 2, I think it is a legitimate concern to think about what will happen to the game population in that time. And how many who left will return for Ch. 2? While the OP was probably trolling... I think it is a legitimate question to consider. Will there be enough people around over the next few months, and will enough come back to make things fun for Chapter 2?

Not all of us are content to just load up on henchmen all the time. Part of the game is working with and playing with other people. If that becomes impossible due to low server populations (and the ones left either being arrogant l33ts or noobs) the game just won't be worth playing anymore for some people.

If you say that orange juice has a bitter taste, people will drink it over and over, and eventually will be convinced of that. It's like self-fulfilling speculation in economy, a basic rule.

I always find Topk full, ToA full, Ascalon full, and Pre-searing very crowded. I'm on the american servers. Frankly, I don't know what the hell are you guys talking about. You're auto-brainwashing yourselves, its my better guess.

My self all I do is lvl my Char help the guild farm for money if I need it. If anything else i jsut go hang with some friends and PvP. Take a break go do somthing else and dont play 24/7 for a month play it casually and take it as fun and not imma be the best ever sorta thing. Lvling will make u bored and farming. Not fun at all as i dislike it alot. there is alot more then lvling and getting power in games. The importance of these games is for fun and entertainment not just straining u eye's on a PC screen all night to get a lvl.

So take a chill pill, relax and have fun. Best i can tell u is that.

I myself only been playing 2 months and have 2 lvl 20's 1 set of 15k armor and a lvl 19 monk and lvl 5 ranger all forge armor of course. I have slowed down to chill and havefun. otherwise i would be bored. Over the alst 2 months i estimate i spent about 1mil on stuff by now. but hey garentee 300k of it atleast went to friends and my guild

Working and playing with other people depends on which class you play. Due to the overwelming stupidity of the "holy trinity" who only tend to group with each other as a rule and probally need their own seperate 3 class game. The probelm is not low server population its the attitudes of the players which destroy the playability of the game. It was done in PvE with the shunning of rangers and others from groups. It was also done in tombs where a new player is basically driven away by rudeness, bad treatment, and elitist snobbery regardless of class. People can blame Anet, but the community is the biggest probelm. If we can't find a way to treat each other with respect we are killing off the game we all enjoy and don't deserve to have it. Because its kind of retarded to treat fellow gamers like crap then wonder why they are not logging on as often.

On Glint: I find the easiest class to defeat her with, if using henchies, is a Ranger - distract crystal hibernation and hope lina keeps on top of her protective spirit casting

For the past several weeks before halloween all I'd been doing on GW was occasionally tombs when enough people in my guild were online and competition arenas. When Rome Total War: Barbarian Invasion came out I started playing that. But at Halloween I came on to get two of my characters pumpkin heads, and I farmed so much in Gates of Kryta to get Orr Emblems to get potions.(looking back I don't know why I wanted to get so many potions)Now, in the last half-week, I have come back to the game. I've been to FoW, I've done lotsa stuff with my necromancer in the desert where I had virtually abandoned her, and I've been doing loads of comp arenas with a cool earth ele build.
Definitely one of the things that has kept me playing GW is PvP. I havn't done GvG in about a month, and tombs in about two weeks. But I love testing builds in arenas.
I also love going to FoW - somehow going there so many times has never managed to bore me.
I also love the simple draw of the game, thats what made me go through most of the game with 3 characters. You just want to achieve.

Play this game? Phsaw, no way.

I like to log in and use it a prettyful chatroom where I grab my friends and go in PvE excursions, or occasional PvP matches. Think "MSN Games" Xtreme!!!

More seriously, it was great fun when it was 3 days a month, and it's still pretty darn fun. I have significantly cut down my playing from the first month, and am on a slowing exponential decline in playtime hours, but I still do have fun logging in occasionally, PvPing, farming just for the heck of it, chatting with friends or guildmates, whatever tickles my fancy at the moment.

I think I've gotten more than my money's worth out of Guild Wars thus far, playing about a nickle an hour, and the ratio of money spent vs time played is just going to go further down as I continue to enjoy the game at my own rate.

I still play but having trouble justifying it ATM. Not much more you can do. I had to resort to rebuilding my Farming w/mo just so i did something besides pvp or sit in grotto

Any class with interruption works. Ranger works well though, that's true.

Why do I still like playing GW after having 650+ hrs of game time?

It's because it's nice to sit down in front of my beautiful computer and play GW after a f***ing tiring day at work and school!! Why GW? Because, for me, this is the only game out right now that I like that gives off hot graphics and loooong hours of play time eventhough you've done it for lots, and lots, and lots of time already. I pve a lot 'cause pvp or gvg doesn't really cut it for me. If I feel like being competetive I play Halo 2 Online. If I wanna relax I play GW. One thing that really pisses me off is that we're not getting the favor as much as we used to.....call it greedy but c'mon! Europe and Korea are kicking our a**! (can I say ass here?)

Whenever I see that we don't have the favor every night I go online, there's only ONE question that pops in my head. Why, o why did they move the release dates for FF XII and Kingdom Hearts 2???

gwen haunts me day and night

she will not let me rest until i have found and returned to her a broken flute, a tattered cape and reunited her w/ her ghostly mom

i do pvp in arenas but the repetition usually gets boring. the most chanllenging thing left these days for me is to monk for any random UW pug. best are the ones who take the quest, aggro all the mobs while i save all their asses without dying. nothing like an ele who's smart enough (or too dumb) to run away while i help them tank w/ prot spirit/seed/breeze. more challenge involves groups who grab the unwanted quest immediately. no one ever does the fun unwanted/4 horseman/ice king quests anymore these days =(

Does anyone else get the feeling that the devs "plant" people like the OP in the fansite forum, to lure all us GW-lovers out of the woodwork?

Is it so hard for you to believe there really are people who are disillusioned with the game?

Most of the top guilds have left, so of course in your minds they all must have been spirit spammers. It seems to be beyond your ability to comprehend that they might have left because PvP is stale and boring. If you're good at PvP now, so what? Being successfull at something only because your betters have moved on doesnt make you great.

By far the best PvP was in the beta's. The first 2 months or so after release was ok, but still far short of what it was in the last few beta's. When Air started to dominate things headed downhill a bit faster, and then when Spirits crowded out almost everything else the brakes overheated and the wheels came off the cart.

There used to be PvP guys, and carebears. The also used to be a bit of a war between them. The reason the war has mostly died down is because the PvP guys have mostly left. Now there are carebears and carebears who think they can PvP. It's sort of like when Siskel died, and Ebert replaced him with his new suck-up junior partner.

Usually all you need to do is turn on a light and watch em scatter.

So, Idiot Savants, Negative Zero, Eternum Pariah, IVEX, Five Nineteen, Nuclear Launch Detected and Trecherous Empire are carebears? As far as I can remember, with a couple of exceptions, the members of those guilds were the ones who always perpetuated the PvP vs PvE argument, in favor of PvP. Most of them labelled themselves the vocal monority. And they still play.
